In Yoga Nidra Meditation we concentrate our attention to different parts of our body. This will relax them and activate the nerves in those parts. This is the best meditation technique to practice after a yoga session. It cools down your body after yoga and flushes out toxins from your body.

Yoga Nidra Meditation step by step:

Lay down straight on your back. Now close your eyes and try to relax your body and mind. Take slow and deep breaths. Now continue with taking you attention to your right foot. Relax your foot by keeping your attention on it for a few seconds. Now move your attention to you right knee and hip. Now visualize your whole leg and try to relax it. Repeat the whole process for your left foot. Now continue the relaxation with you genital area, stomach, navel, chest.

Now continue with your right arm and then the right shoulder. Relax your left arm and shoulder now. Move your attention to your throat, face and finish at the top of your head. Now take a deep and slow breath. Recognize the sensations in your body and enjoy the relaxation for a few minutes. Now turn to your right side. This way you will be slowly aware of your body and surroundings. Take your time and relax. When you feel you can, try to slowly sit up. Now slowly open your eyes.

In conclusion this is the Yoga Nidra Meditation. This meditation will calm you and take away all the stress you’ve accumulated all day. Also, it is great before going to sleep. As a result, it will give you the sensation of mindfulness and help you fall asleep. Also this meditation is really easy to practice. If you can’t achieve mental focus or clarity in the first session, don’t panic. Although, it is easy, it still needs some practice.
