Vegan Garlic Bread

Traditionally, you make vegan garlic bread with a thin loaf of bread, such as a baguette. However, for this recipe you can use any type of bread you want. Even sliced sandwich bread works if you do not have anything else in handy. Here is how to make a delicious vegan garlic bread:

  • One loaf of bread
  • One clove of garlic
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • Himalayan salt, to taste

The first step of this recipe is to turn on your oven to its broiler setting. Slice your bread into 1/3” slices. You can also make them thicker if you want, no problem. Place the slices onto a baking sheet, in a single layer. Make sure they do not overlap. Now, take a bowl and mix in the garlic with the olive oil.

Side note: all of the measurements above are just as a recommendation. Your loaf of bread can vary, depending on what you choose. Adjust the ingredients accordingly. Preferably, use enough olive oil to coat both sides of each slice of bread. Add more garlic of oil if you need to.

Vegan Garlic Bread

Now, take a pastry brush or a spoon and use it to coat each side of your bread slices. Sprinkle the Himalayan salt on top, to taste. Now, place the baking sheet on the top shelf of your oven, just under the broiler. You can leave the oven door open a little bit, to see inside. The bread can burn pretty quickly.

Once the edges turn golden, flip the slices on the other side. Let them toast for another minute or so, depending on your tastes. You can serve your vegan garlic bread with some homemade pasta or other appetizers. This recipe is both quick and easy to make, and you do not even need special ingredients for it.
