Spiritual Power represents a faith, knowledge, understanding or consciousness of God, the light or energy that exists in and around us. Firstly, these powers can offer us peace, confidence and hope in our lives. When we get the connection to this amazing power, we are going to feel the balance in our life. We are going to feel good, calm, relaxed, positive and secured.
All of us possess a Spiritual Power. Maybe you don’t feel it, but you can discover and evolve it. There are five important spiritual powers. They are also called “the five priceless jewels”.
The first Spiritual Power is Faith. The word faith became a very suspicious word due to religious fundamentalism. They started to use faith to control others. The faith I refer to is the opened heart and innocence type of faith. It appears spontaneously. It helps us learn devotion and gratitude. Faith is the Spiritual Power that helps us get through difficulties. It gives us courage to fight the problems and issues we meet in our lives.
The second Spiritual Power is Effort. So, it represents the channeling of the energy that surrounds us. Effort helps us to put the energy around us in use. Therefore, it is the second power we need in starting a spiritual practice. In these practices we need a lot of effort to become mindful. Spiritual practices and the path to spiritual awareness is not simple. We need a lot of effort to get to know our inner self and find the answers to the biggest questions in our life.
The third Spiritual Power is Mindfulness. It represents the act of observing the power of our mind. Mindfulness means to pay attention and be aware of everything happening within and around us. This Spiritual Power is like an empty mirror. You will see everything the way it is, without distortions.
The fourth Spiritual Power is Concentration. It represents a one-pointed attention. Concentration keeps our attention on an object that was noticed by our mindfulness. To develop your concentration you need mindfulness to find the object and effort to direction your attention. Concentration helps us focus the energy of our mind. Concentration helps our mind to calm down and become centered.
The last Spiritual Power is Wisdom. It is the result of the work of faith, effort, mindfulness and concentration. Wisdom can’t be learned. It will appear by itself. It is an intuitive understanding of the reality as it is. Those who achieved spiritual wisdom know that nothing in this material world will last. The deepest lesson these people learned is that nothing is substantial and real. They know that we are not solid entities.
In conclusion, these Spiritual Powers can help you achieve the knowledge that you need for a happy life with a purpose. If you don’t have any of these powers, you can start to achieve each one of them with spiritual practices.
