Merkaba Meditation

Merkaba Meditation is a meditation method that helps you to enter a state of awareness. In this state you can see the energy fields that are surrounding your Physical body. If you wonder where its name comes from, Merkaba consists of three ancient Egyptian words (Mer, Ka ,Ba). Mer is the light that rotates continuously within itself, Ka is the energy, the spirit, the unconditional love and Ba is our physical body. Merkaba Meditation has many benefits for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.

How to: Merkaba Meditation

First you have to find a comfortable position. It is better to sit on a chair, instead of laying down. In case you feel sleepy and fall asleep, which you don;t want to. Now bring together your thumb and your index finger for both of your hands. Your palms have to face up to the sky. You have to breath deeply and slowly in and out through your nose.

When you feel relaxed, you can start to visualize. We will work with the chakras, one by one. Visualize a red light surrounding your body. It opens your root chakra. Now switch your index finger with with the middle one. Inhale and hold your breath. Not for too long. For just a few seconds. Then exhale. Now imagine an orange light. Open the next chakra. Change to the next finger. Hold your breath again.

Meditation

The Merkaba Meditation continues with yellow. Open your chakra. Change the third finger with the fourth one. Take a deep breath and hold it. Now move to green. Open your heart. Let the loving green color surround your body. Now change the fourth finger with the index finger. Another deep breath and hold it for a few seconds. Imagine a beautiful blue color. It opens your throat chakra. Repeat it for the third eye and the crown chakra.

Now you must be in a deep relaxation state. Feel the colors and the love surrounding you. Breath in and out deeply and slowly. Enjoy this state of living in the present. You have no worries, no regrets. You are a pure and perfect spiritual being.

Stay in this state s long as you wish, then come back slowly. Or you can choose to continue the Merkaba Meditation with another meditation. Visualization, forgiveness meditation or self love, healing meditation are great to continue with. Enjoy!
