Lasagna Stuffed Garlic Bread

This is an American take on a traditional Italian dish. Lasagna meets calzone in this simple and delicious recipe that you will love. You have layers of mozzarella cheese, lasagna noodles, ricotta and marinara sauce, all wrapped up in French bread dough. Add in some garlic butter and then you will get a crispy golden brown exterior and oozing cheese on the inside. Serve this lasagna stuffed garlic bread at your next party or family dinner. It is surely a crowd stopper.

Here is what you need for it:

Lasagna Stuffed Garlic Bread

  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 can of Pillsbury French bread
  • 1 tbsp of oregano
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 12-16 oz of Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce
  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ricotta
  • ½ cup of fresh basil

Lasagna Stuffed Garlic Bread

First of all, place your butter in a frying pan and then let it melt. Pour it into a bowl and then combine it with the minced garlic and the oregano.  Take your dough and then spread it on a floured working surface. Roll it out using a rolling pin and get it to the size of your pan. Place it in the plan and then coat t generously with the garlic and butter mixture. You can place slices of mozzarella cheese lengthwise over your dough.

Secondly, take the lasagna noodles and cook them until they soften partially. Take them and layer them on top. Alternate with the sauce, ricotta and basil over the mozzarella slices. Repeat until you run out of ingredients but make sure to end with mozzarella. Fold your bread over the filling, placing the seam side down. Brush it with garlic mixture.

Lastly, bake it in the oven at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes until it turns golden brown. Serve your lasagna stuffed garlic bread while warm.
