How to Remove Henna

Weddings and other special occasions in the Eastern parts of the globe have an unique form of celebration. This includes vibrant colors, giant feasts, dances, but also decorating your hands and feet with henna. This comes from the leaves of the henna plant, which seeps into the layers of your skin when you apply it on. This results in a semi-permanent stain. It usually lasts up to two weeks. However, there might be instances where you need to know how to remove henna. This is why we have two methods that will help you out.

Here are 2 ways in which you can remove henna without damaging your skin.

Method 1: First of all, you need a mixture of salt and olive oil to begin. Get a round bowl and then pour some olive oil into it. Now add one or two tablespoons of salt. Mix until the salt dissolves a little bit. The next step is applying the mixture onto your hands or feet with a cotton swab. Simply dip the cotton swab in the bowl then use it to rub away at the stains. Change the cotton once it becomes too dirty. Continue rubbing until you manage to get off all of the stains. Wash your hands and feet thoroughly once you are done. Remember that the henna might not go away completely from your first try. Do this for another day or so.

Method 2: The second Henna Tattoo Removal method. The first step is to make a cleaning solution in order to remove the henna from your body. To do this, take a bowl and then mix some lemon juice in it, along with two tablespoons of soda powder. Next, grab a cotton swab and dip it in the mixture, soaking it completely. Now take the cotton swab and place it on the desired area, securing it with some tape. Leave it on for two hours or so. Darker henna stains will require a longer waiting time.

All in all, remember the both methods do take some time and you will need to work at it. However, it is better than just waiting for the henna to disappear on its own. Now you know how to remove henna!
