How to Meditate Lying Down

First of all, choose a broad surface that is wider and longer than your body. This will make you feel the earth itself. The broad surface allows your body to extend as much as you want without bumping or touching something. Now, follow this procedure to meditate. Place your legs hip-width apart. Then spread your hands about one foot away from each hip, and put your palms up to the sky. When you are perfectly symmetrical, keep your eyes open and look up. Place the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth.

Once you followed all of these steps, you can start the meditation. Flex the muscles of both of your legs strongly and raise them into the air for a few seconds. Then, drop them down and don’t move them. It is okay if your feet are tilting to the sides. Simply relax your legs and leave them be.

Arch your lower back, raising your hips off the floor. Keep this position for a few seconds then lower the hips back to the floor. The next step is all about your hands. Clench your fists powerfully while straightening your arms and raising them. After a few seconds drop your arms down.

In conclusion, this is How to Meditate Lying Down. You can do this meditation before sleeping. This will help you unwind and get a good night’s sleep. It may take some tries before you get it right. However, keep practising and it will become easier in time.
