Healing Foods

Healing Foods are types of foods that provide the vitamins and nutrients our body needs to heal itself naturally. If we consume these foods daily, our body no longer needs medication. It will have the ability to heal itself and restore its health. Our body already knows how is the state of well being. It already knows which nutrients it needs to fight certain illnesses. We have to provide our body all these vitamins and nutrients daily for a proper functioning of our physical body.

Kale – It is a highly nutritious vegetable. Kale has very powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is rich in vitamin K, A and C. It also contains huge amounts of nutrients like calcium and iron. Kale contains sulforaphane which is a cancer-fighting compound found also in broccoli and cabbage.

Broccoli – It is a Healing Foods due to its high content of vitamin C, K, A, B vitamins, folate, iron, sulfur, fiber, etc. Broccoli contains sulforaphane such as kale so it also fights cancer. These phytochemicals neutralize carcinogens and accelerate the process of elimination from the body. Broccoli also contain indoles, which protect our body against different types of cancer (prostate, gastric, skin, cervical and breast).

Guavas – These fruits are very well known for their healing properties. They are not easy to find, but the searching is worthy. Guavas contain more antioxidants than any other fruits or vegetable. It contains lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant. It protects our cells from free radicals that can cause illness or even cancer. Lycopene is a powerful ally against prostate cancer. It can not only reduce the tumor, but also decrease the malignancy. Guavas are rich in vitamin C and richer in potassium than bananas.

Other Healing Foods

Watercress – They are known as Healing Foods because of their high value of nutrients and very small value of calories. The smallest calories a vegetable can can get. Watercress contains four times the calcium of milk. It is full of nutrients like vitamin C, A and K, carotenoids, iron and many more. Watercress fights cancer, reduces tumors, builds up the immune system, helps red blood cells, improves night vision, stimulates bile production, etc.

Kiwi – These fruits are Healing Foods due to their high content of vitamin C and potassium. It is a great fruit, rich in nutrients and vitamins that can protect our body against heart disease, cancer, stroke and respiratory disease. Also it can help damaged cells to repair themselves. And it is always part of a anti cancer diet.

There are many more Healing Foods, these are the most important in my opinion. For a healthy life, you should consume them daily.
