Best Spiritual Retreats
This Best Spiritual Retreats list contains places often visited for the energy or the peace they hold and transmit. They are more often used in Hinduism and Buddhism. They use them to deepen their concentration in yoga and meditation. Best Spiritual Retreats can also be places where people go for spiritual healing. These places have many purposes from healing physical issues, to cure spiritual wounds and bring calmness in people. I will present some of the most popular retreats and talk a few words about them and their stories.
Best Spiritual Retreats
First one on my list is the Valley of the flowers. It is an enchanted valley in the Himalayan ranges of Garhwal hills of Uttaranchal. This place is beyond beautiful. The valley is covered in colorful flowers. The air is clean and so pure. It was known by the locals as the Bhyundar valley. They believe it is the playground for fairies and nymphs. The legends say that Hanumanji of Ramayana collected Sanjeevani herbs from here to revive Lakshmana. The valley was first introduced to the world by botanist Frank S. Smith.
My list of the Best Spiritual Retreats continues with Sivananda. It is a beautiful Yoga retreat from Bahamas. You can pitch a tent on the ashram grounds. This retreat follows a specific program. Also, you wake up at 6 a.m. to meditate through down. And then you chant until the tea time. And followed by two hours of yoga. Then there is a vegetarian meal. The plans for the afternoon contain some karma yoga and chores around the ashram.
Stonehenge must be on my Best Spiritual Retreats list. For those who never heard about it, you find it in England, Europe. It created controversies for hundreds of years. Nobody knows the purpose of its creation. But we know that semi-nomadic people created it at around 3500 BC. Some believe that those people created Stonehenge for religious purposes. This beautiful structure is mythical. And surrounded by an amazing energy. A lot of people come here monthly to see and admire the huge site and feel its energy.
The last one on this Best Spiritual Retreats list is the Sadhana Mandir and Swami Rama Sadhaka Grana Ashram. It is a retreat created for meditations based on Himalayan traditions. Also, it was built on banks of the Ganges river 49 years ago. It has a 100 guests capacity. But you have to make a reservation to be able to enjoy the benefits of the Himalayan meditation in a beautiful place.
